Getting Around, Lisbon Travel and Lisbon Transport
(Lisbon, Portugal, PT)
A busy city with so much to see and enjoy, Lisbon is home to an efficient public transport network. Buses, electric trams (electricos / street cars) and underground subway trains are the main choice and mean that you can travel all over Lisbon without burning a hole in your pocket.
Public transport in Portugal's capital city is fast, convenient and cheap. However, if you are lucky enough to be staying in a centrally located hotel, then the very best way to travel around much of Lisbon city centre and the districts of Baixa and the Barrio Alto, is simply to walk.
